Your personal information journey

The note you prepare here stays in your browser unless you choose to copy, download or send it through another application.

Who is responsible

Maplehorizonbantr Travel Media Ltd is responsible for personal information it receives through correspondence concerning this website. Our registered office is 14 Micklegate, York YO1 6JH, United Kingdom; company no. 14589237. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or requests.

Using the local note composer

The Contact page builds a plain-text preview using JavaScript on your device. Its fields are not submitted to us. The supplied site code does not store your draft in localStorage, send it to an AI provider or transmit it through a form endpoint.

Copying uses your browser’s Clipboard API where available. Downloading creates a text file on your device. Your browser, operating system, clipboard history, extensions or device backups may handle that information under their own settings. Avoid including sensitive information in the composer.

If you email us

We receive the information you choose to send, which may include your name, email address, message and attachments. We use it to consider your enquiry, respond where appropriate, investigate corrections and maintain necessary correspondence records. Our usual lawful basis is our legitimate interest in managing enquiries and maintaining an accurate website. Where a legal obligation requires processing, we rely on that obligation.

Please do not send passport copies, payment details or private health records. If you include someone else’s information, share only what is necessary and ensure you are entitled to do so.

Technical information and service providers

Delivering a website involves network information such as an IP address and browser requests. Hosting and email systems may process technical records for delivery, security and fault investigation. Providers handling information on our behalf should receive only what is needed for their role and be subject to appropriate safeguards. The supplied website code contains no analytics, advertising pixels or external AI integrations.

Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, applicable data protection safeguards must be used, such as an adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual protection. We do not sell correspondence information.

Retention and security

We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, related follow-up, legal obligations or the establishment or defence of legal claims. The necessary period depends on the enquiry. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised. No email or internet service can be guaranteed completely secure; avoid sending unnecessary confidential material.

Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent supervisory authority. Contacting us first may help resolve the concern, but it is not a condition of making a complaint.

Other websites and changes

External links lead to services with their own privacy practices. This policy does not describe how an AI assistant you use elsewhere handles your conversations. Read that provider’s policy directly. We may revise this notice when our practices change; the update year appears above. See also our cookie policy.
