The traveller’s remaining questions
Questions from the departure lounge
A little clarity before you hand the next planning question to a machine.
Is this website a live AI travel assistant?
No. Maplehorizonbantr publishes independent planning guidance and labelled examples. It does not run a live chat assistant, make reservations or check current availability. The sample conversations show a method you can adapt elsewhere.
Can I rely on AI for opening hours and train times?
Use AI to organise the questions, then verify date-specific details with the venue or transport operator. An answer may use old information even when it sounds current. Our reality-check guide explains how to find the source responsible for each fact.
What should I tell a guide about myself?
Share interests, preferred pace, broad starting area, budget boundaries and functional access needs. Avoid passports, payment information, booking codes and unnecessary precise location details. Check the AI provider’s own privacy policy before sharing personal information, voice recordings or documents.
How can I stop an itinerary becoming too busy?
Choose one daily anchor, protect meal and rest breaks, and label everything else optional. Ask which stop to remove first if the day starts late. Keep a nearby alternative instead of carrying a second full itinerary. See our day-planning method.
Can an AI guide confirm accessibility?
It can help identify questions but cannot guarantee access. Confirm the specific route and facilities with the venue or operator, including relevant lift or assistance arrangements. Describe your needs precisely: step-free entry does not necessarily establish that the entire visit works for you.
Will the guide book anything for me?
Nothing on this website books or purchases travel. Other AI products have different capabilities; check their terms and review the supplier, price and conditions before authorising any transaction. A proposed ticket or time slot does not mean a reservation exists.
What if the guide invents a place or source?
Search for the place independently and open the cited source. If you cannot establish that it exists or that the source supports the claim, do not build a consequential plan around it. Asking the same system to reassure you is not an independent check.
Should I keep using AI during the trip?
Use it when it helps a specific decision. Keep essential details offline and follow current official information, signs and staff instructions over a conflicting chat answer. You can also close the screen: a useful planning tool does not need to accompany every moment.
How do I report a problem with a guide?
Use the Contact page to compose a note with the page name, the claim and a reliable supporting source. Copy or download the note, then send it through your own email application. The composer itself does not deliver messages.
