Our approach

Why this atlas stays independent

Travel planning should make room for your preferences, not quietly replace them with someone else’s ranking.

Maplehorizonbantr is an independent information website about AI-powered interactive travel guides. We explain how to use these tools for destination discovery, day planning and useful questions, while keeping real-world checks outside the chat.

Our starting point is simple: a trip is personal. Someone who enjoys one long museum visit needs a different plan from someone who wants to move between neighbourhoods all day. Energy, access requirements, time and money are not footnotes. They are the shape of the trip.

Soft-lit three-dimensional notebook, folded map and reusable bottle arranged on a plain blush surface
A few useful tools, and space to make your own decisions.

What independence means here

We are not an AI provider, a destination authority, a travel agent or a booking service. Mentioning a museum, city or transport operator does not imply affiliation or endorsement. Our guides do not rank products by promised booking outcomes or claim to know what is available right now.

We explain transferable methods rather than insisting on a particular assistant. Different tools have different browsing, location and privacy capabilities. Their features can change; the habit of checking an important claim remains useful.

How to read the examples

Sample prompts, dialogues and day sequences are clearly labelled illustrations. They are not live responses, tested journeys or guarantees of suitability. Photographs offer destination context, not evidence of current conditions. Our soft-lit travel-object images are renders, not documentary scenes.

Use AI to make the choices clearer, not to make your preferences disappear.

Our source standard

For changing or consequential facts, we direct readers towards the organisation responsible for the information. We distinguish a general planning principle from a detail requiring date-specific confirmation. Accessibility is discussed as a set of individual practical needs, not a universal badge.

If you find a claim that needs correction, send a note identifying the page and, where possible, an authoritative source. We welcome clear corrections. We do not provide emergency assistance, individual immigration advice or a guarantee that a third-party service will respond.

A useful place to begin

Choose one guide for the decision in front of you. Discovery helps you make a shortlist; Day Planning gives the day a workable shape; Guide Dialogue helps you revise it; Reality Checks helps you know what still needs confirmation.
